My first product of the week had to come from my wonderful friends at Mackenzie & George. As you all know, I am a huge fan of theirs and I am lucky to be a brand ambassador to this fabulous British brand. I absolutely adore all of the products on offer from these guys, particularly the belts – you will see my Badminton belt a lot if you follow my Instagram page! This week I have another belt to add to the collection and dare I say it, I think it may have pipped the Badminton to the top of the list of favourites.
As with every M&G product, the belt is handmade in their Rural English workshop from the finest materials – a Nubuck lining and a mix of Pheasant and Guinea Fowl feathers for the detailing make this belt a cut above the rest. Aside from the quality of the materials used to create this beautiful belt, I love the finish of the product which epitomises Great British Field Sports. Fashion has to be functional on the shooting field and this belt is the perfect accessory to add a stylish twist to your shooting outfit, without compromising the practicality. Not to be confined to the shooting field though, this belt looks stunning with pretty much anything! I love it paired with smart white jeans and a shirt, which makes it really stand out for an evening out.
I chose to add an extra layer of luxury to this belt by using M&G’s new personalisation service and adding my initials. I chose to go for the embossed option, rather than the gold embossing because I felt there is already a lot of detailing on the belt and I didn’t want to detract from that, so the plain embossing added a subtle, classic touch to this already stunning belt. I love the gold embossing on something like the Wycombe which would really enhance the look of this belt.
For me the Drayton is reminiscent of my favourite season – Autumn, the luxurious chesnut leather reminds me of rich autumnal leaves, conkers and acorns and the feathers are perfectly in-keeping with the game shooting season which is now in full swing. The Drayton is bang on trend, in season and perfect for every occasion. Look out for this beauty which will be featuring in many posts over the next few months, particularly my shooting style guides! To make sure you are the most stylish person out in the field, on the clay grounds or even in the pub, head over to the Mackenzie & George website to order yours.
