Charity starts at Fairfax & Favor!

So you may or may not be aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. A whole month dedicated to raising awareness for one of the biggest diseases to affect women, which can only be a good thing right? As a scientist with a career in the pharmaceutical industry, I can assure you that October is not the only month that we try to find a cure for this awful disease. I am also sure that it’s not the only month that many people think about, or are affected by Breast Cancer – I am including myself in this. But enough of the heavy stuff..there are so many things going on to raise awareness this month which is fantastic and it’s means there is no excuse not to get involved. But I think I’ve definitely found the best way to help…shopping!

No I’m not going crazy – Fairfax & Favor have released a limited edition boot tassel to support the campaign, following the success of supporting the charity last year. Now I don’t know about you, but sometimes I do feel a little guilty about shopping so I always try to justify to myself why I need that item (please tell me I’m not the only one who does this?!). What better justification for spending money than knowing 100% of it is going to support a charity doing amazing things to stop one of the biggest diseases known to women? I am absolutely delighted to be involved with the latest campaign from Fairfax & Favor and I want to make sure as many Fairfax fans as possible (I know there’s an awful lot of you out there) get behind this too. If my blog can persuade you to buy one really has to be this.

So about the tassel..well this time its a limited edition leather in a gorgeous powder pink colour. The great thing about this colour choice is not only that it’s in-keeping with the Breast Cancer Awareness branding – so you know exactly who you are supporting, but it’s versatile and subtle enough to pair with anything. The tassels will look stunning against my navy blue Heeled Reginas but equally as beautiful with a tan background. I also love that they come in leather, rather than the signature suede which means they are absolutely perfect to go with my Imperial Explorers. I am even tempted to order a second pair and fit one to my Windsor Handbag (well it’s only fair we donate as much as possible isn’t it!). The signature shield logo has also had a makeover in stunning gold so you can be sure to turn heads with these little beauties!

The tassels are a fantastic way to accessorise your outfit, just swap your usual pair for these limited edition ones and you will feel like you have a new pair of boots! But make sure you are quick – the tassels are on sale until the end of the month so you haven’t got long to get involved. I really can’t think of a better way to help raise awareness and urge absolutely everyone that reads A Girl About Country to buy a pair – click HERE to get yours today. This is probably the only time you can truly feel guilt free about shopping, in fact I’d go as far to say it’s totally critical that you do go shopping!

Fairfax & Favor are currently around halfway towards reaching their £10K target, so please please order yours and help them to smash this target. I’d love to see as many people as possible in the tassels, once you order yours be sure to snap a picture and let me know! Let’s make as much of an impact as we can, because we all know how important it is to try and find that cure.
