Hopefully a lot of you will have already seen a little glimpse on Instagram of the competition I am launching this week. I have been so excited to share this with you and to be totally honest, I don’t know how I’ve managed to keep it a secret for so long!
The competition was supposed to coincide with the anniversary of my blog, which actually passed months ago but as usual I was less than organised! Basically, I want to say an absolutely HUGE thank you to each and every one of you for your support over the last few years. It’s not been an easy time, not only juggling so many commitments but also dealing with the negative side of blogging, and it’s fair to say without your support and encouragement I would have thrown the towel in ages ago.
So what’s the deal? Well I have some amazing prizes to give away (honestly I’m so sad that I am not allowed to enter!), which I’ll be revealing over the next week on Instagram, plus I’ll update this blog post every day with the newest prize and then when all of the prizes have been revealed, I’ll give you the details on how to enter. The prizes have been so kindly donated by my very favourite friends at the best brands and companies in the country world, so I hope you’ll love them as much as I do! (trust me, I know whats coming – you definitely will!!).
The first prize had to be something from my absolute favourite all-ladies shooting group. Femmes Fatales have so generously offered up a place at one of their clay shooting events which are available all over the country, so there’s bound to be one close by! The days are fantastic – take it from a regular attendee, and are perfect for beginners and experienced shots alike. There are a couple of posts on here about why I love Femmes Fatales so much (take a look at my most recent here) and I’m positive you will too. It’s a top prize from a top bunch of ladies and I guarantee you will have the very best time. To see the Femmes Fatales calendar of events, click here.
I couldn’t have a prize giveaway without including my favourite accessory company, Mackenzie and George. I am so incredibly honoured to act as a brand ambassador for these guys because everything they produce (by hand in Shropshire!) is exceptional. Timeless, classic and elegant pretty much sums up everything on offer. So I’m really excited to announce that M&G are offering one lucky reader their signature Drayton Belt, WITH peronalisation! This belt has to be my favourite out of the entire collection, it’s so eye-catching and unique yet understated and suitable for every outfit at the same time. M&G are also kindly offering every A Girl About Country reader and follower a huge 15% discount during the competition period – simply enter AGAC15 at the checkout for your discount- you don’t even have to be a winner to be a winner here!
Rhea Freeman, Guru of all things marketing, PR, social media and business promotion is so kindly offering not one but TWO prizes in the latest installment of my huge prize 10K giveaway! Not only is Rhea an expert in promoting country and equestrian businesses, with a number of very famous strings to her bow, but she’s also a whiz with social media and vlogging – so she’s the best possible person to offer a one hour exclusive one-to-one coaching session, tailored to your needs. Not only that, shes also offering a whole month’s free subscription to her exclusive Small & Supercharged VIP group, which is jam-packed full of top tips and goodies. Thank you so much Rhea!

I can’t believe we are already at prize 7..how amazing are these goodies so far?! Well today is no exception, with a fabulous prize from world class saddle makers and sporting good suppliers Albion. This brand is one very close to my heart, a family company from the Midlands who champion British manufacturing and effortlessly combine traditional methods, that have been passed down through generations of skilled craftsman and women, with revolutionary design to produce luxury, bespoke products for the equestrian and shooting worlds. Recently, Albion have branched into luxury lifestyle goods and have launched a line of the most gorgeous clutch bags. Which brings me to the prize…Albion are giving one very lucky person an Anna clutch bag! This is one of my absolute favourites, a go-to accessory that compliments any outfit for any occasion.
Prize number 8…which just happens to be my favourite number, has to be from my favourite people – Hiho Silver. I think its fairly undisputed (certainly from AGAC’s perspective!) that Hiho are the best country and equestrian jewellers out there, taking inspiration from those little things we love so much about the British countryside or equestrian life and turning it into something truly stunning. There really is something for everyone, whether you be a dressage diva, keen gardener, farmer, country dweller or just someone that appreciates beautiful and unique jewellery. Quality, practicality and style are at the heart of everything Hiho produce – it’s easy to see why Hiho are still on top after 20 something years! So the prize..quite possibly one of my favourite pieces from the signature cherry roller collection – the Cherry Roller bangle. Yep seriously, Hiho are actually giving one of these beauties away!
As if 8 fabulous prizes wasn’t enough…prize number 9 comes from the brilliant Teddy Edward who are offering one lucky reader a gorgeous Blankney Rugby Shirt! Teddy Edward, for those of you that don’t already know, are champions of British made clothing. Understated but luxurious, classic yet on trend, taking inspiration from the Great British Countryside but making it wearable in the city too. There are so many gorgeous items in the Teddy Edward collection (see Banish those Autumn Blues with Teddy Edward), all of which are lovingly manufactured by the very best craftsmen and women in the UK, but the Blankney has to be one of the best. Made from super soft but hardwearing cotton, this rugby shirt is the epitome of country classic – perfect for any occasion, it’s definitely the next item on my wish list!
Oh I almost forgot to mention… Teddy Edward are offering an exclusive (and rather generous!) 20% discount to all AGAC readers – how amazing is that?! Simply enter TEHarriet at the checkout for your discount! Thank you Teddy Edward!
I can’t believe how brilliant this competition is, 9 amazing prizes already announced and now for the icing on the cake..number 10. Prize #10 has been kindly provided by the wonderful Doris & Co, purveyors of the very best crockery and tableware – all made and hand-finished in Britain. What could be more quintessentially British than a good old fashioned cuppa – the answer to all life’s problems? A good old fashioned cuppa in the perfect tea mug of course – that’s where Doris comes in! Doris & Co are giving away not one but TWO of their fabulous half pint hand-finished mugs, which are perfect for tea or coffee or hot chocolate, or – you name it, this mug is perfect for it!
So there are 10 amazing prizes up for grabs already, plus some serious discounts at the very best country wear brands – surely that’s enough for one competition right? Wrong! I have a very special prize to giveaway from my very favourite brand – Fairfax & Favor. A Girl About Country would be nothing without Fairfax & Favor, so it seems only right that they should have ‘star prize’ status. Everyone already knows how much I love this brand – there are so many blog posts about them, that I won’t bore you with recounting all of the reasons why, but I do have to tell you about the star prize. The Hurlingham Tote is one of my very favourite pieces from Fairfax & Favor for so many reasons – it’s stylish, classy and completely understated luxury which is everything I love. The attention to small details, such as navy blue suede lining, adjustable straps and a small attachable zip purse make this bag a real showstopper. I was so lucky to have a very small part in the design of this bag and I can’t champion it enough. The Hurlingham has just been released in classic black – perfect for any occasion (I even carry my laptop to work in it!) and Fairfax & Favor are offering one super lucky person the chance to win one!
